Covid Announcement: COVID-19 Update for our Friends and Customers April 13, 2022

Anna Chinetti

Anna Chinetti grew up in Duxbury, MA where she began playing flute in 5th grade band. Her love of music continued through high school, and she pursued Music Education at UNH for 2 years before transferring to UMass Amherst. Anna graduated from UMass in 2021 with degrees in Music Education and Flute Performance. Before joining the staff at Gerry’s, Anna enjoyed teaching music to students in grades K-8, and most recently taught Band and Chorus at Michael E. Smith Middle School in South Hadley.

At Gerry’s, Anna is the Private Lesson Coordinator, working with lesson teachers and families to foster a love of music in young students. Anna also supports customers in the store, play-tests new and repaired instruments, and is learning to repair woodwind instruments. Anna thoroughly enjoys and appreciates her co-workers – “it feels great to work with friends who are always willing to lend a hand!”.

In addition to her roles at the Store, Anna continues her own love of music through singing with the Pioneer Valley Symphony Chorus, subbing for the Pioneer Valley Symphony Orchestra, judging regional flute auditions, and performing in pit orchestras. In addition to the flute, Anna also plays the piccolo, clarinet, and saxophone! Anna’s most exciting musical moments include opportunities to play flute at Jordan Hall in Boston, Strathmore Hall in Washington, D.C., and Carnegie Hall in New York City.
