Frantz Kjoniksen joined Gerry’s teaching staff in August of 2024. Originally from the Greater Worcester area, Frantz attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, receiving both a Bachelors and Masters degree in Music. He studied violin with Elizabeth Chang, and viola with Kathryn Lockwood and Ron Gorevic. Frantz currently plays with a string quartet, the FIKA Quartet, as well as with the Berkshire Symphony. A lover of musical theater, Frantz is proud to have performed with many high school, amateur, and professional theater pit orchestras around New England.
As a teacher, Frantz loves how much interest and enthusiasm his students have for learning violin. He also understands and respects that no two students are exactly the same – each student’s progress and journey will look very different. As such, Frantz celebrates mistakes or mishaps, as they are an important part of the learning process!
